Water Resource Management 2022

Clean water is a crucial factor in the production process, being used in almost every stage, especially in the cleaning of raw materials and the washing of machinery and equipment involved in the production process. The goal of this project is to reduce the volume of treated wastewater discharged into public canals. Therefore, it is recognized that the production process must be adjusted to reduce water consumption and use water in appropriate amounts, as well as to cultivate awareness among all departments regarding the value of water. This will alleviate the burden of wastewater treatment because the wastewater used after the production process is completed will be contaminated and dirty. If the treatment of wastewater before discharge into public canals is not properly controlled, it will impact the environment and ecosystems.

Premier Canning Industry Co., Ltd., its subsidiary, has established water management as an annual plan to mitigate risks from water scarcity. This involves treating used water from the production process for reuse, a plan that the company has continuously implemented to ensure the efficient use of water resources (tap water) and to reduce the volume of treated wastewater discharged into public canals.

For water management in the production process, the company has implemented the reuse of treated wastewater that meets the standards of the Department of Industrial Works and the Ministry of Public Health. This recycled water is designated for use in areas outside the production line, such as flushing toilets, watering plants, washing the raw material receiving area, the loading dock, and treating air by reducing soot and smoke from the Boiler's combustion. Of the 280 cubic meters/day of treated wastewater, 140 cubic meters/day, or 50%, can be reused.
