Premier Marketing Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries recognize that waste management is currently a significant issue in many countries. In Thailand, the problem of increasingly severe waste is a constant concern, as improper disposal or destruction of this waste has substantial negative impacts on communities and the environment. Therefore, the company emphasizes the importance of waste segregation within offices and factories to facilitate proper reuse or disposal and reduce the impact of waste volume going to landfills, which affects both communities and the environment.
Plastic waste is a major contributor to environmental problems. Increased consumption leads to a corresponding rise in the use of plastic packaging. Therefore, while completely eliminating plastic use may be challenging, proper waste management is essential. This includes disposing of waste correctly in designated areas and maximizing its beneficial reuse, as well as adopting non-polluting disposal methods to minimize environmental impact.
In 2022, the company collaborated with the "Kha Ya Chub Chiwit" (Waste to Life) project and the "Real People Don't Stand Still" group to segregate and collect 207 kg of clear plastic. This plastic was sent to Wat Chak Daeng in Samut Prakan Province for recycling and processing into raw fabric used to produce blankets, bags, and shrouds, among other items. Additionally, P.M. Food Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, implemented the separation of recyclable waste such as drinking water bottles and soft drink cans by providing designated bins for employees around the factory. This resulted in the collection of 4,228 kg of recyclable materials, which were sold, and the proceeds were continuously used for community development activities.
