Management of Waste Separation 2024

Management of Waste Separation

Currently, waste management has become a significant problem for many countries, and Thailand is increasingly facing a severe waste crisis. Improper disposal or destruction of this waste has considerably impacted communities and the environment. Recognizing this, Premier Marketing Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries prioritize waste segregation within their offices and factories. This ensures waste is either reused or disposed of correctly, ultimately reducing the volume of waste sent to landfills and simultaneously mitigating its adverse effects on communities and the environment.

Plastic waste is another significant contributor to environmental problems. The increasing rate of consumption inevitably leads to a corresponding rise in the use of plastic packaging. Therefore, completely eliminating plastic use is likely difficult. Instead, we must focus on implementing correct waste management strategies.

In 2024, the company collaborated with the "Khaya Chub Cheewit" (Waste Transforms Lives) project and the "Kon Jing Mai Ning Doo Dai" (Real People Don't Stand Still) working group within the Premier Group of Companies. Together, they collected and segregated a total of 160.80 kg of plastic water bottles. These bottles were then sent to Wat Chak Daeng in Samut Prakan Province to be recycled and transformed into fabric for monastic robes. Additionally, thin plastic films, such as bubble wrap and shopping bags, were sent to Green Road Project in Lamphun Province to be made into paving blocks.
