P.M. Food Co., Ltd. (PMF), a subsidiary, conducts its business with environmental responsibility. In addition to keeping pace with current technological advancements, the company is committed to improving energy efficiency in its product manufacturing processes by using thermal energy from Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) instead of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in production. LNG offers a higher calorific value than LPG, which helps reduce the volume of gas used. Furthermore, a key characteristic of LNG is that it is a clean fuel – colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. If LNG leaks into the environment, it quickly vaporizes and disperses in the air without leaving any residue in water or soil
Therefore, in 2020, P.M. Food Co., Ltd. collaborated with PTT Public Company Limited to study the use of LNG in its production plant as a replacement for LPG. This study was conducted with a team of experts from PTT, involving trials with production machinery to ensure that the fuel switch would not affect product quality. Subsequently, in 2021, the company continuously expanded the installation of the LNG system in its production processes.
